1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the CAB4U website, booking a vehicle, using our WhatsApp dispatch desk, or boarding a CAB4U
cab, you agree to the following terms:
- Legally Binding Contract: These terms constitute a binding legal agreement between
you ("Customer", "Rider", "User") and CAB4U ("we", "us", "our").
- Applicability: These terms govern all private rentals, outstation packages, airport
transfers, and shared cab bookings.
- Right to Decline: If you disagree with any provision stated herein, please do not
proceed with reserving or utilizing CAB4U transit services.
2. Shared Cab Option & Policy
Summary: Opting for a Shared Cab gives you the opportunity to save up to 65% on your
travel cost. Please note: The shared cab facility is currently applicable only
from IIT Kharagpur to Kolkata Airport (remaining corridors will be added shortly). If CAB4U
matches another verified passenger along your route and departure window, your fare is discounted
accordingly. If no co-rider is found, your booking seamlessly continues as a private cab at the normal
solo fare.
CAB4U offers an optional Shared Cab Program, currently active exclusively on the
IIT Kharagpur ↔ Kolkata Airport corridor (remaining corridors will be added shortly).
When you check "Opt for Shared Cab" during booking, the following specific terms apply:
- Voluntary Opt-In: The shared cab option is 100% voluntary. You may choose between an
exclusive Private Cab booking or opt-in for potential fare sharing.
- Applicable Corridor & Fare Savings: Shared cab facility is currently valid only for
journeys originating from IIT Kharagpur to Kolkata Airport. When another verified
co-passenger is matched along your route and time slot, passengers enjoy up to 65% in fare savings.
- Contingency / Solo Fallback: The discounted shared rate is only valid if
additional bookings are matched for that vehicle slot. If no co-passenger books along your route
prior to departure, your booking automatically proceeds as a solo private cab at standard fare. CAB4U
will never cancel your ride simply because a co-passenger was not found.
- Matching Window & Route Proximity: Dispatch will match co-passengers whose pickup and
drop points align with standard highway route corridors with a maximum allowable detour time of 15–20
minutes to maintain punctual arrival.
- Co-Passenger Privacy: Co-riders will only be informed of pickup order and first names
by the chauffeur. Contact details, personal addresses, and financial transactions remain strictly
confidential.
3. Standard Booking & Fare Transparency
CAB4U operates with an uncompromising commitment to transparent, upfront pricing with zero hidden
surcharges:
- Fare Inclusions: Unless otherwise specified in your formal quote, base fares include
vehicle rental, verified chauffeur service, and standard fuel costs.
- Tolls, Taxes & Parking: State border taxes, highway toll charges, and airport/mall
parking fees are charged transparently as per actuals or included in fixed all-inclusive package quotes
where explicitly agreed upon.
- Driver Allowance for Night & Multi-Day: For outstation night halts and multi-day
journeys, standard driver night allowances apply as stated in your trip itinerary.
- Payment Methods: CAB4U accepts UPI, direct bank transfers, cash payments to the
chauffeur, and corporate invoice clearances.
4. Cancellations, Delays & Waiting Times
We respect your time and maintain a high standard of punctuality:
- Airport Pickups: In case of flight delays, our dispatch team monitors live flight
status. Up to 45 minutes of complimentary waiting time from the actual flight landing time is provided
at NSCBI Kolkata Airport.
- Standard Pickups: Up to 15 minutes of complimentary waiting time is provided from
your scheduled pickup time. Extended waiting may incur hourly waiting charges.
- Cancellation & Refund Policy: Cancellations made 1 hour before the pickup time are
refundable; otherwise, they are non-refundable.
5. Luggage Allowance Guidelines
To ensure comfortable seating and passenger safety:
- Private Cab Rentals: Standard boot capacity allows 2–3 large suitcases in Sedans and
4–5 large bags in MPVs (Innova / Ertiga).
- Shared Cab Mode: Each booked passenger/party in a shared cab is entitled to 1
standard suitcase (up to 20kg) and 1 personal handbag/laptop bag to ensure equitable boot space for
co-passengers.
- Left-Behind Belongings: Passengers are required to verify and take all personal belongings when exiting the vehicle. CAB4U will not take any responsibility or liability for any belongings or luggage left inside the cab.
- Prohibited Items: Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, unlicensed firearms, and
illegal substances are strictly prohibited on all CAB4U vehicles.
6. Rider Safety & Professional Conduct
All CAB4U chauffeurs are background-verified and commercially certified. We maintain zero tolerance
towards:
- Smoking, alcohol consumption, or abusive behavior inside the vehicle.
- Pressuring the chauffeur to exceed legal speed limits or violate traffic regulations.
- Any conduct that compromises the safety or dignity of co-passengers in a shared cab.
7. Liability & Dispute Resolution
Our liability, accident disclaimers, and dispute resolution parameters are defined as follows:
- Accident & Compensation Disclaimer: If any accident, vehicular collision, or mishap occurs during the journey, neither the cab driver nor Cab4U company shall be held responsible or liable for any injury, loss of life, or property damage. Neither the cab driver nor Cab4U company will pay any compensation, medical expenses, or settlement to the passenger under any circumstances.
- Left-Behind Belongings & Lost Property: Passengers are strictly advised to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and collect all their personal belongings before leaving the cab. If any passenger leaves their belongings, luggage, or valuables inside the cab upon exiting, Cab4U and the driver will not take any responsibility or liability for such misplaced, damaged, or lost items.
- Unforeseen Delays: While CAB4U exercises strict punctuality, we are not liable for
indirect losses, missed flights, or connecting transit delays caused by unforeseen highway blockades,
severe weather, natural calamities, or sudden government road diversions.
